Inaugural IMM Paris Praised by Media and Industry in Attendance

TravMedia's global IMM program has successfully launched in its seventh city. Eighty-five journalists and forty-three exhibitors had convened at the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel Hotel to attend TravMedia France's first-ever IMM in Paris.  Providing what they say in the meeting space is the perfect 2:1 media to exhibitor ratio.
Exhibitors from French regions and cities, pan European and long-haul destinations, as well as hotel chains, attractions, and online travel companies,  had the opportunity to showcase their news and new developments to journalists from French consumer titles and trade press, offering editorial opportunities in print, online and across various forms of broadcast media.
Prestigious partners supported the inaugural IMM France: Brand USA, Accor and the Toulouse Tourist Office, as well as two renowned French journalists' associations, the AJT (French Association of Travel Writers) and the Press Club de France, which brings together journalists and opinion leaders from across the media spectrum in France.
The attending delegates participated in over 1000 pre-scheduled, one-on-one appointments – plus four hours of open networking which took place across multiple catered events.  The day included a sit-down lunch with views of the Eiffel Tower where they were introduced to the latest news and developments from William Mondello, the French representative of the headline sponsor, Brand USA.

Trafalgar Partners with French Perfumery Fragonard to launch its own Travel Fragrance

Whether it's the zesty freshness of Seville oranges, or the scent of the perfume worn on your wedding day, of all the five senses, smell is the most powerful trigger of memory.
That's why Trafalgar, the world's leading travel brand with innovation at its heart, has just created a perfume to harness the power of scent, connecting incredible travel memories. The scent was created in collaboration with iconic French perfumery house, Fragonard, partners of the brand for 40 years and just like Trafalgar, both leaders and innovators within their respective categories.
Trafalgar's brand philosophy is connecting its guests to The Good Life, naming the fragrance La Belle Vie, the French equivalent. Through this perfume, their guests can continue to connect to The Good Life, long after their journey has ended.
"When one travels all five senses are used, but the sense that stands out the most is smell,” says Gavin Tollman, Trafalgar's CEO. “It instantly transports us back to moments in time, connects us to places and reignites special memories and we wanted to celebrate this core connection to travel”.
Just one inhalation and all the joy and wonder of an amazing experience can come flooding back. It's all thanks to the olfactory bulb, which connects your nose with your brain, passing through the two areas of the brain housing emotion and memory. Our senses of sight, sound and touch do not make contact with these areas of the brain, hence they don't as easily evoke the kind of intense memory and emotion as scent can.

Hyatt Regency Bangkok Opens New Spectrum Rooftop Bar

As sprawling and glamorous as a luxury home, Bangkok’s newest rooftop bar opens its doors this week as a sparkling new gem in the crown of Bangkok’s top-shelf night spots.
Spread over three levels the journey begins on the 29th floor. Handcrafted basket-weave doors lead into a plush gathering space with marble floors and an open kitchen, surrounded by earthy wooden walls.

The spacious living room entices guests to linger with deep, cushioned chairs and wooden tables spread out over a velvety blue carpet. Above intricate Thai patterns etched into gold panels are an ode to the iconic gold Thai Buddha’s hand. The nearby indoor bar creates an edgier vibe with a sleek, black marble countertop.
Sliding doors allow each room to be separated from the others or all can stay open in order to create a more flowing space. Like the hotel itself, the sum of all Spectrum’s parts evokes a cozy, residential atmosphere.

A spacious alfresco terrace spans level 30 and 31, the area features a large open deck with seats for two and alcoves framed by verdant trees with huge daybeds and private tables.

With a total space of 280 square meters (over 3,000 square feet) Spectrum can host 80 guests for indoor gatherings and 295 people when utilizing the indoor and outdoor spaces.
