Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai Introduces Return to Balance Offer, Curated for More Holistic Stays

Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai in Hoi An, Vietnam, has introduced Return to Balance, a curated wellness experience designed to help guests slow down, reconnect with themselves, and restore a sense of physical and emotional wellbeing. Available with stays of at least three nights, the program combines personalized wellness experiences with the tranquil natural surroundings of Vietnam’s central coast.

The journey begins with a 60-minute Wellness Screening, using the non-invasive OligoScan tool to assess biomarkers such as minerals, vitamins, and oxidative stress levels. Guests receive personalized recommendations covering lifestyle, nutrition, and fitness. This is followed by Yoga Nidra, a guided practice of conscious rest that encourages deep physical and emotional relaxation, and Deep Peace Bodywork, a therapeutic treatment created to release tension, calm the mind, and restore energy and clarity.

The program draws on the holistic philosophy of the resort’s award-winning Heart of the Earth Spa, inspired by the teachings of Vietnamese Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh. Treatments and activities emphasize qualities such as stability, creativity, mindfulness, and non-judgement, while crystal singing bowls, meditation, yoga, and cultural rituals deepen the connection between guests and their surroundings.

Wellbeing extends throughout the resort experience. Guests can cycle through tropical gardens, relax beside infinity pools, walk along Ha My Beach, and enjoy nourishing cuisine featuring organic produce from the resort’s own gardens. Evening rituals, including candle-lighting ceremonies and Goodnight Kiss to the Earth, encourage quiet reflection.
The Return to Balance package includes daily breakfast, wellness experiences for two, an essential-oil gift, and round-trip airport transfers.

Sherlock Holmes takes on case in Bugis Town: World's first officially licensed Sherlock Holmes experience played in the real world launches in Singapore

Singapore’s Bugis district has become the setting for a new Sherlock Holmes murder mystery with the launch of A Study in Red: The Official Sherlock Experience. Created by homegrown gaming studio HIDDEN, the 90-minute immersive adventure takes players through Bugis Junction, Bugis+, Bugis Street and the surrounding precinct as they attempt to solve a fictional murder alongside the world’s most famous detective.

The experience is significant as the world’s first officially licensed Sherlock Holmes game designed to be played in a real-world environment. HIDDEN secured an exclusive licence from the Conan Doyle Estate, which selected the Singapore company as its preferred partner for future global expansion. Singapore hosts the world premiere ahead of London, with additional cities expected to follow.

Inspired by A Study in Scarlet, the first Sherlock Holmes novel, the new mystery combines Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s characters and storytelling with the real history and heritage of Bugis. Historical research and archival material have been incorporated into the storyline, allowing participants to discover lesser-known stories about the neighbourhood while investigating the case.
Teams of up to five players follow clues across Bugis Town using HIDDEN’s newly developed web application. The investigation incorporates augmented-reality crime scenes, hidden evidence, immersive 360-degree virtual environments, CCTV intelligence and calls from characters from the Sherlock Holmes universe.

Unlike previous HIDDEN experiences delivered through WhatsApp, A Study in Red uses the company’s purpose-built platform to support its more advanced interactive features.
By transforming familiar shopping malls, streets and historical locations into part of the investigation, the experience offers both locals and visitors a new way to explore Bugis while stepping into the role of a detective.

A Study in Red opened to the public on 21 August 2026.

About Jack’s Place
Established in 1966, Jack’s Place is the trusted favourite known for its Western food. It all started when Mr. Say Lip Hai arrived in Singapore from Hainan Island and started as a cook boy with the British troops in Sembawang. There he learned how to prepare the perfect roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.

Having tasted one of Mr Say’s now famous meals, a British housewife suggested he start a catering business with her husband, Jack Hunt, in his pub at Killiney Road, Jack’s Place, which he started in 1966. Mr Say agreed and commenced that partnership in 1968. Shortly afterwards, Jack Hunt sold his share of the business, but his namesake ‘Jack the Chef’ still runs the kitchen today!
Today, Jack’s Place is the trusted favourite for family and friends to enjoy great value sizzling steaks, speciality meals, and sumptuous cakes. Jack’s Place is committed to serving quality food and creating memorable dining experiences in a cheerful and cosy environment for our guests.

El Calafate, Argentine Patagonia, to host REMOTE Immersion 2027

Applications are now open for the 11th edition of REMOTE Immersion, which will take place from 4 to 8 October 2027 in El Calafate, Argentine Patagonia. Organised by REMOTE Latin America, the boutique travel event brings together independent hotels, destination management companies and high-end travel designers with a shared interest in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The 2027 edition marks the beginning of REMOTE’s second decade and will place participants in one of Patagonia’s most dramatic landscapes, surrounded by glaciers, mountains, lakes and vast open spaces. El Calafate was chosen because its remote setting reflects the event’s philosophy of using distance and immersion to create stronger connections between people, destinations and ideas.

REMOTE Immersion differs from a traditional trade show by combining one-on-one business meetings with destination experiences, educational content and social events. In El Calafate, meetings will take place aboard boats navigating Lake Argentino, with the Upsala, Spegazzini and Perito Moreno glaciers providing a different backdrop each day.

Afternoon activities will introduce participants to the region’s natural and cultural heritage, while one evening will intentionally remain free, allowing attendees to explore El Calafate independently and connect informally.

Sustainability and positive-impact tourism will remain central to the programme, with initiatives aimed at supporting local communities and reducing the event’s environmental footprint.

Since launching in the Brazilian Amazon in 2016, REMOTE Immersion has travelled across Latin America, including destinations in Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Brazil and Panama. El Calafate will continue that tradition while opening a new chapter focused on meaningful business relationships, responsible tourism and first-hand destination discovery.

SU MA and the Art of Contemporary East Asian Dining

Jakarta restaurant SU MA has spent the past three years developing a distinctive approach to contemporary East Asian dining, prioritising patience, craftsmanship and meaningful connections over spectacle. Drawing particularly from Chinese and Korean culinary traditions, the restaurant regards food as more than nourishment, seeing it as an expression of care, culture and human connection.

Its latest culinary chapter, Volume 6: Passage, explores themes of movement, transformation and progression. Rather than functioning simply as a seasonal menu, each SU MA “volume” represents another stage in the restaurant’s evolving identity.

Leading this evolution are Executive Chef Brendon Chen and Co-Executive Chef Ryan Kim. Chef Brendon, raised in a Chinese-Malaysian household, developed his appreciation for thoughtful cooking through his mother and grandmother. After training at Le Cordon Bleu London, he worked in respected kitchens including Michelin-starred Restaurant du Vieux Pont, MUME, Restaurant Studio and Nadodi. He later founded Playte in Kuala Lumpur, which received Michelin Guide recognition. His philosophy combines traditional foundations with fermentation, seasonality and modern culinary techniques.

Chef Ryan’s journey began in South Korea before he studied cuisine and pastry at Le Cordon Bleu Australia. His experience includes acclaimed Australian restaurants Quay and Bennelong, followed by work in high-end desserts in Korea. After moving to Indonesia in 2020, he founded Fragments, a Korean-inspired dessert concept in Jakarta.

Together, the chefs have shaped Volume 6: Passage as a carefully paced dining experience balancing lightness and depth, familiarity and discovery. Instead of relying on extravagance, the menu encourages diners to slow down and appreciate subtle details.
Through each new volume, SU MA continues to connect its East Asian heritage with contemporary perspectives while maintaining its central philosophy of care, craftsmanship and connection.

Discover Indonesia by Motorcycle: A 13-Day Journey Across Seven Islands

Indonesia’s vast archipelago is made for island hopping, and a new 13-day itinerary from Bali Moto Adventures combines motorcycle touring with boat journeys to explore seven islands across three archipelagos. Rather than focusing on a single destination, the 7 Islands Hopping adventure makes travelling between the islands an essential part of the experience.
The journey begins in Bali, where riders explore a mixture of coastal roads and inland landscapes. The route takes in areas around Mount Batur and Ubud, alongside lesser-known destinations, with volcanic scenery, rice terraces, waterfalls and temples providing a varied introduction to the island.
From Bali, travellers head offshore to the Gili Islands. As motorised vehicles are not permitted there, motorcycles give way to bicycles, traditional horse-drawn carriages and water-based activities. Guests can spend time exploring the three Gili islands while enjoying opportunities for snorkelling and diving.

The adventure continues to Nusa Penida, known for its dramatic limestone cliffs and beaches. Highlights include Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach and Diamond Beach, along with time exploring the surrounding waters.

The final island stage takes travellers to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, connected by the distinctive Yellow Bridge. Here, the itinerary focuses on coastal scenery and mangrove environments before returning to Bali.

Throughout the 13-day journey, different forms of transportation become part of the adventure itself. Motorcycles connect inland and coastal destinations, while boats provide passage between islands inaccessible by road.

The itinerary is part of Bali Moto Adventures’ wider collection of small-group guided motorcycle expeditions across Indonesia, which also includes longer journeys to destinations such as Sumba and the Komodo region, combining riding, cultural experiences and comprehensive logistical support.

Stamford Place's September Opening, Singapore's Newest Lifestyle Destination in City Hall

Singapore’s Civic District welcomes a revitalised landmark in September 2026 with the opening of Stamford Place, a mixed-use destination combining accommodation, workspaces, dining, retail, art and social spaces. Located at the corner of Stamford Road and Hill Street, the development occupies the former Stamford Court, recognised by its distinctive clock tower since 1996. The site’s history reaches further back to Eu Court, a 1920s Art Deco apartment building commissioned by philanthropist Eu Tong Sen.

The redevelopment aims to preserve this heritage while transforming the property into a contemporary neighbourhood hub. Eight food, beverage and retail spaces will activate the ground floor, including Blue Label Tavern, Japanese dining concept Yoruya, and Cold Storage On The Go. At its heart will be Stamford Social, a European-inspired all-day cafΓ© and bistro designed for everything from morning coffee and business lunches to after-work drinks and dinners.

Stamford Place introduces APT., a new boutique serviced-apartment concept featuring 66 design-led residences. Operated in partnership with Frasers Hospitality, APT. combines contemporary interiors, technology and hospitality for stays ranging from a few nights to several weeks or longer. Guests will have access to a gym, laundry facilities and approximately 30,000 square feet of workspaces operated by The Great Room by Industrious across Levels Two and Three.

Developed by Elevate Capital Group and PGIM, Stamford Place has been redesigned by Ministry of Design and Zarch Collaboratives. Its architecture takes inspiration from the landmark clock tower, while a partnership with The Artling will introduce art throughout the property.

Stamford Place and APT. opening date was in September 2026, followed by Stamford Social in October 2026.
