Australia's first-ever Kimpton, Kimpton Margot Sydneyhas officially opened its doors on the day of love, 14 February, and is poised to kick off a return to travel, rekindling the love that both local and international guests have for the city of Sydney. As IHG Hotels & Resort's luxury boutique brand, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is celebrated for its signature heartfelt service, locally-loved restaurants and bars, and unique design ethos – with Sydney being no exception. Magnificent heritage-listed Art Deco architecture meets modern Australian style and signature Kimpton service, making the hotel one of the city's most exciting and anticipated developments of the decade.

From the grand, Scagliola pillared lobby evoking the spirit of the 1930s to bold patterns, plush furnishings and botanical displays which create a harmonious eclectic inner-city hideaway, Kimpton Margot Sydney shows off at every corner. Located in the heart of Sydney's “south-side”, just down from the State Theatre and the QVB and close enough to be within walking distance to Surry Hills and Darlinghurst, Kimpton Margot Sydney is in a prime position to access the best retail, art and cultural institutions Sydney calls home.

Cocooned inside, away from the bustle of Pitt Street, are 172 incredibly spacious deco inspired rooms and suites – most with bathtubs and all with Mr Smith amenities. Each room features whimsical wall art from global artists, evoking a worldly cosmopolitan perspective and warmth akin to home. With close to 600 pieces of art adorning the property - spanning 9 levels - the hotel's signature installation in the lobby by Tony Twigg is a standout and celebrates the brand's approach to supporting emerging and artistic talent.

Amazing Thailand welcomes the world back to paradise…

Heaven is a place on earth... Thailand, the Kingdom of lush landscapes, sparkling beaches, vibrant culinary delights, and warm Thai hospitality, is open to travelers from every part of the world. Fully vaccinated travellers can now visit Thailand without a long quarantine - visitors are required to stay at a SHA+ hotel on the first and fifth day of their trip, with testing undertaken at the hotel on these days to allow freedom to travel and explore in between (as soon as the negative test results are returned). To welcome the world back, Accor has extended its 'For the Love of Amazing Thailand' campaign with savings of up to 30% at more than 70 hotels and resorts across the Land of Smiles.

An easy beach escape is just a drive away from Bangkok, with Hua Hin offering up white sand, great culinary offerings and an outstanding collection of resorts.  Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hin offers a truly idyllic natural setting with the low-rise resort offering a selection of villas and suites amongst verdant gardens and reflective lagoons. Those seeking a playful atmosphere with vibrant events calendar need look no further than SO/ Hua Hin with its imaginative suites, unparalleled restaurants and a wide array of activities.

Those eager to sunbathe and sip a cocktail by stunning shores can travel further south and select one of Phuket's 30 beaches. Some of the unique ones include the peaceful and pristine Panwa Beach, where Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort is nestled, and the secret little paradise of Naithon Beach, where Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach is located. A few hours away, the scenic resort town of Khao Lak is a destination to consider for a tranquil tropical retreat. Pullman Khao Lak Resort is an energizing destination to immerse into the vibrant Southern culture, while the newly opened Grand Mercure Khao Lak Bangsak will transport guests to the traditional Thai riverside villages.

To Tohoku, the Northern Land of Japan

When it comes to traveling in Japan, most people visit big cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, or the famous ancient capital of Kyoto, but it would be a shame not to journey to the northern part of Japan. In Tohoku, you will find one of the world's greatest snow countries, rich in nature, history, and culture. Nowadays, many foreign tourists have become aware of its charms and make time for a visit.

The Tohoku region is located in the northeastern part of Honshu, the main island of Japan, and is renowned for its deep winter that brings freezing temperatures. There, you can enjoy many tourist spots that only a snow-covered wonderland can offer. Here are some of the tourist attractions in Tohoku where you can experience unique traditions, culture, and the mysterious nature of the region. While you're in the region, make sure to visit the local hot springs to escape the cold and partake in the healing waters.

Ginzan Onsen Town: Cherries, hot springs, natural landscapes of rugged beauty, and local agriculture are Yamagata's most renowned sightseeing and tourist attractions.

If the Studio Ghibli movie Spirited Away is one of your favorites then a visit to Ginzan Onsen Town might be the perfect bucket list item for you. Ginzan means silver mine and this hot spring town once had flourishing silver production, but later shifted to tourism by opening dozens of hot spring inns along the small Ginzan River that runs through town.

Kakunodate: Akita Prefecture in the Tohoku region is famous for its natural beauty, hot springs, and—of course—Akita breed dogs. Kakunodate is a town in Senboku-gun, Akita that still retains its quaint, old-fashioned appearance today. The samurai residences are open to the public, allowing visitors to experience the traditional life of a samurai.

Nyuto Onsenkyo: After a two-hour train and bus ride north through beautiful scenery from Kakunodate, you arrive at Nyuto Onsenkyo (hot spring resort) in Tazawa. This stretch of seven hot springs is collectively called Nyuto Onsenkyo. The scattered springs are located at the foot of Mount Nyuto in Towada-Hachimantai National Park.
