Autumn and Getaway possibilities
VisitPITTSBURGH officially launched its 2021 KidsBURGH, Only in Pittsburgh promotion just in time for those long summer days in the three rivers city.
The promotion, slated to run through September, is an extension of VisitPITTSBURGH's Only in Pittsburgh marketing campaign and encompasses many of Allegheny County's unique, family-friendly attractions.
Advertising efforts will have a largely digital focus with radio and social promotions integrated throughout. The campaign will target families with children ages 3-17 in key drive markets including: Baltimore, Buffalo, Cleveland, Columbus, Erie, Harrisburg, Johnston/Altoona, Morgantown, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
“We have proudly declared Pittsburgh as KidsBURGH for many years, thanks in large part to our Only in Pittsburgh attractions that help differentiate our destination,” VisitPITTSBURGH Chief Marketing Officer Tom Loftus said. “From riding thrilling coasters to discovering exotic birds, walking among the dinosaurs and much more, Pittsburgh is bursting with exciting, unique, family-friendly adventures for visitors of all ages.”
New this year is the KidsBURGH Adventure Pass, VisitPITTSBURGH's latest gamified savings pass with Bandwango. This mobile-exclusive enhancement is easily accessible and instantly delivered via text and email, eliminating the need to download yet another phone app. Visitors who sign up for the pass and check in to five KidsBURGH attractions through the end of 2021 will be entered to win a fantastic KidsBURGH getaway to Pittsburgh including a two-night stay in a Pittsburgh hotel and four passes to the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History, Carnegie Science Center, Gateway Clipper Fleet, National Aviary, Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, Sandcastle Waterpark and the Senator John Heinz History Center.
