InterContinental Hotels Group had announced the signing of a management agreement with OSK Holdings Berhad to convert Swiss Inn Johor Bahru to Holiday Inn Express & Suites Johor Bahru at the beginning of 2021.

The 203-room hotel supports the growth of the Holiday Inn Express footprint in Malaysia. The brand is  the first choice for the increasing  number of travellers seeking a simple and engaging  place to rest, recharge and get a little work done, too.

Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) Chief Scientist, Dr David Wachenfeld explains that the mass coral spawning is the single most important annual event in the Reef’s recovery processes during which the corals of the Reef show off their resilience. “The Reef is beautiful, vibrant and resilient. But, after three mass coral bleaching events in five years, it is under greater pressure than ever. “In many parts of the Reef, the shallow corals were hit really hard in bleaching events in 2016, 2017 and 2020.
